The Kentish Town Sports Centre on Grafton Road, one of London’s historic Victorian baths, has been officially opened by Camden Council following a multi-million pound project.
Councillor Tulip Siddiq, cabinet member for culture at Camden Council, said at the opening ceremony: ìI am happy to open Kentish Town Sports Centre on time and on cost. I am delighted that local people will be able to enjoy the high-quality leisure facilities in the centre.î
The £25.3 million project has refurbished the baths to its former glory and now offers the community a wide range of swimming and physical activities for the local community, including: a refurbished five-lane Willes pool (pictured), a new 25-metre Grafton pool, a new teaching pool, 90 gym stations, and a new Wii Fit interactive area and café.
